Fair Mountain Arts is based in Fairmont, West Virginia, just south of Morgantown and about an hour from Pittsburgh, PA. Most of our clients are in the North Central West Virginia region. We provide a variety of marketing, communications, and technical support services to small nonprofit agencies and small businesses in the region.

Jen Thomas, MBA, BFA
Owner, Designer
Jen is a fine artist and digital communications professional living in Fairmont, West Virginia. She's lived on both sides of the US, in major metros and rural towns and she's proud to call West Virginia home. Jen received her BFA in visual art from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2005. In 2019, she earned an MBA from Fairmont State University.
In 2015, Jen left her position as Assistant Director of Communications at a Morgantown nonprofit to launch Fair Mountain Arts in order to share her digital media skills with small businesses and nonprofits in the region. She provides a number of services tailored to the needs of small organizations, from copy editing to website design, Jen possesses the skills needed to make the most of your marketing communications goals and budget.

Kelly Brett
Software Engineer
Kelly is a Software Engineer and a former Construction Design Technologist residing in Fairmont, WV. He has lived near the Gulf coast, in the Rockies, but has strong family ties to North Central West Virginia. Kelly was awarded a B.S. in Architectural Engineering in 2002 from Fairmont State College (now Fairmont State University). Subsequently, he spent thirteen years working for several area Architectural and Engineering firms as CAD Coordinator, Project Manager, and Applied Technology Coordinator. All of those roles included a significant amount of desktop user support regarding hardware and a variety of commercial software.
In order to further develop his understanding of 0's and 1's he returned to Fairmont State to earn a second B.S., this time in Computer Science. While in school he spent 10 weeks developing a Java based document archiving system for an area Mechanical Engineering Firm. Additionally, he interned with and post-graduation was hired by a multi-billion dollar software development company to work on a Javascript based single page Web application with a Java based server for a US military contract.
In order to further develop his understanding of 0's and 1's he returned to Fairmont State to earn a second B.S., this time in Computer Science.
